he pretending to be the student amidst the masses, just getting by working on a thesis paper for a topic he’s supposed to be ignorant of. yet the truth was more than that. it was closer to galen holding an understanding far greater than the mere homo sapien.

so he blends amongst them.

eyes flit up, a smile quirking his lips.

this is a welcomed sight and genuine emotion shows. perhaps it is because he fondly remembers each molecule of the creature before him.

            it is a gentle lull,             this one's mind.             and he cannot help             the sense of calm             that settles into his                  v  e  i  n  s  .             the effect is akin to             Norrin's presence yet             lacks a certain substance,                      a certain weight.

                     without thought,                      his mind reaches out                      to the mutant's own.                   it is then briefly                   that he considers                   the weight,                   the stress,                      and limits the                   c o n n e c t i o n .
