He had no idea how a wormhole had appeared and sucked him in, but he did know that his time, as well as MSF’s time had long since passed. Since he and MSF had been on the constnt run from the CIA back in 1974, Snake had gotten used to being suspicious. Something that the Peace Walker Incident only proved, it had been thanks to the CIA that the world was almost thrown into a nuclear war, and Big Boss had to step in and clean their mess. 

'How did the world end up like this?' Those where the only thoughts on the head of Big Boss. The last thing he remembered was... He had completed the mission, he had crippled Cypher and killed Skull Face, everything was fine but then while he and Huey where testing some new gadgets that the R&D Unit had come up with, the wormhole generator malfunctioned and a black and orange wormhole opened and dragged him in while Huey and some DD soldiers were unable to do anything...

Big Boss had no idea where he was, his iDroid said he was in a place called ‘The Citadel’ but he’d never heard of it before, so he knew he wasn’t on any place in America. Out of nowhere, an old man with a scar on his face approached him and with the tone of a hardened military man spoke. “Big Boss? Follow me, we have a lot to talk about...” Big Boss nodded and followed the older man into what he assumed was a barrack, the man introduced himself as Admiral Steven Hackett and without any delay proceeded to brief The Greatest Warrior of the 20th Century on the situation at hand.

Apparently mankind was fighting a war against some machines called the Reapers and they needed all the help they could get, and even though Snake would be sent to help someone called Shepard, he would have to go through weapons training in order to get a better feel of the more modern weapons. Hackett did assured him that his old M1911A1 would be modified in order to keep up with the times. Much to everyone’s surprise, it took Snake a little over a week to get accustomed to the new weapons and after that... He was sent to the SSV-Normandy , and that’s where he met Shepard. 

Under different circumstances, Noctis would’ve complained to being given orders, specially now that he was the King of Lucis. But considering he was in a foreign country which he knew nothing about, he supposed he could just let it slide. “Alright, got it.”

Despite Noctis’ relatively young age, the King of Lucis had seen enough during his 10 year stay inside the Crystal of Insomnia to recognize when someone was being a good ruler and when someone was ruling through fear. And this woman wanted to rule through fear. “And who are you to decide who lives and who dies? Who gave you that right!? You’re just a deluded woman with delusions of grandeur!” 

It was clear that the prince had a huge dislike for these sort of people, as it had been someone with delusions of grandeur that had gotten his father dead, the Crystal stolen and Insomnia in ruins. Despite the fact that he had come to terms with it while in the Crystal, he couldn’t help but let his emotions show, and boy did they showed. Normally Noctis would’ve argued only about her killing people, but now that he had matured he knew that it went beyond that, as the King of Lucis he had to do the right thing for the people. 

The light Mage chuckled at the Illusionist’s statement as soon she was close enough to clearly get a look of him. “ Oh no, I was drawn by your choice of a hideout. It had reminded me of my own group’s one back in the outskirts of the country I come from.”

Vongola. She had heard that name possibly once, by one of his henchmen that were guarding at the front. Micaiah had mistaken him for a Laguz, but his situation seemed to be something completely different.
