He then turned to Kaito and his eyes brightening.

"I know. Maybe you can try joining one. I mean I always enjoy it when you're singing so maybe I will understand if you're the one who's singing"

And of course, Kaito did go to audition and passed as the center of the group. Seeing the happiness and proud look on Shinichi's face made everything worthy.

However, idols work was too much and he didn't get to hang out with Shinichi that much recently. Thus, from time to time, he saw how Ran always being beside Shinichi and that made him feel jealous. Thus, he couldn't concentrate for the upcoming song, which about unrequited love and yup it was not helping at all. Most of all, this upcoming song also would have a new center. That meant he must do properly if he didn't want to lose his role. He didn't want to make Shinichi sad on top of that.

"Are you okay, Kaito?" Shinichi asked worriedly.

Grinning but worried inside his heart, he just exclaimed, "Don't worry. I'll be the center and you know it."

"Idiot, Of course I know." The genuine smile from Shinichi made Kaito eased a little.

But, he did lose his role after that. He felt dissapointed at himself. He felt dissapointed for making Shinichi dissapointed, unlike Ran who always kept his promise to him when she said she would win.

He was frustrated. While singing the song, the emotion was too much. But, his eyes caught the familiar face with a cute banner on his hands. Shinichi was smiling and Kaito wanted to cry. Feeling relief, he sang properly with light heart this time even if the song about unrequited love, promised himself to be better and to make Shinichi smile more and not worry about him anymore.
