John Watson stuck in a timeloop, but the day is the day of the fall.

ok ok my initial reaction to this was "how fucking dare you 💔" but as a fellow writer.. this is a really good idea actually?? I mean, imagine him trying to save Sherlock, over and over again, but it never works. He thinks it's his own failure, but it's really Sherlock and Mycroft's contingency plans, one step ahead every single time.

And maybe John never manages to prevent the fall. But maybe he doesn't need to. Maybe he can only escape the timeloop once he finds out the truth about Sherlock's plan. Picture it: after enduring god-knows-how-many loops, he finally discovers that it was all a trick. That Sherlock somehow knew this would happen, and he escaped. John is stunned and angry and confused but above all else he's so, so relieved. And now that he knows the truth, something feels.. different. Like he's been freed. So he resumes his role in this fucked-up performance one last time. He lets it play out exactly as it was supposed to play out all along.

He knows Sherlock survived, but it still makes him feel sick to hear the body hit the pavement. He knows Sherlock survived, but he still cries himself to sleep in the silence of 221B that night. And when he wakes up, it's a new day. He's almost forgotten what that feels like.

3. Who is your favorite recurring or minor character (i.e., not in the main cast)?

I know Jesse's taken more of a main role recently but he's been one of my favorites since the juggling scene and the decorated mannequin. I also miss Myrna more than I expected to </3

5. Which episode is your least favorite?

I don't really have one :) although if I had to pick, the ICE episode was kind of a hard watch. I certainly don't dislike it- I think it was really well written, and it's so important for mainstream/popular media to call attention to what's going on, but it's one of those moments (like the long-term impacts of covid shown in s1) that makes all the drama of the show feel very very real and it can be a little jarring. iirc, this is also the episode that begins with Roxie's death? All in all it was very heavy.

11. Which character dynamic do you want to see more of?

Santos and Al-Hashimi. Maybe it's just because I'm slowly being converted to Team Barantos, but I think they're both deeply empathetic underneath Al-Hashimi's professionalism and Santos's whole defensive snarkiness thing. I need to see Al-Hashimi team up with Whitaker to make Santos admit she actually has ✨feelings✨

15. Would you rather work day shift or night shift?

I'm basically nocturnal already so probably night shift.. as cool as it sounds to work with my favorite character, I would probably just cry if Santos was mean to me TwT Also, I'm really enjoying learning more about the night crew, Ellis having a bigger role is s2 is awesome and I like Nazely and Crus already :)

18. Do you have any crackships or rarepairs? Which ones?
