Over the course of this semester I have actually enjoyed the blogging assignment. I believe that it was a good way to bring the whole class together in a way that we can all share our personal opinions in a safe environment. I took blogging seriously and felt like it was a good addition to this class. I did everything to the best of my ability to make each blog post meaningful and the best that I could.Â
Civic Literacy
I believe I want to analyze animal cruelty for my civic literacy and what everyday people like us and law enforcement can do to put an end to it!

Blogging for school has been my first time using a website like tumblr. I’ve never blogged before this course, so it’s taken some time to adjust and understand how to use the website itself. When looking back at my posts I feel like I always wanted to include information about the readings we were given and my opinion on them. The blog posts are supposed to have your opinions included in them as well as personal reflections. When looking at what you can’t do, you can’t just analyze the text and state facts. It has to be more in depth and opinionated than that.Â
Civic text
I haven’t decided exactly what i’m going to discuss, but I believe I'm going to analyze this text about treating everyone equally.Â

Writing blogs for school has been different from what I expected. I thought it would be a lot more complicated trying to use blogging language and techniques, but turns out I like blogging for class. Analyzing texts in blogger form has been different from what I'm used to, but I have liked it. It's creative and is more efficient than using pen and paper. I felt like it was easier to blog than it would have been to write formally on pen and paper. I think my posts have all surprised me because the texts were hard to analyze but I did it.
Blogging
The first day of class when I was introduced to the idea of blogging through Tumbler in class, I was quite shocked and excited because I had never used any type of blogging website. I never have even blogged before or know how I am supposed to write in a blog. I treated these assignments/blogs more as official assignments rather than just my thoughts because I am being graded on a well geared response. I felt like if I started to get too personal and into my own opinions that the response might not be graded for as much. Overall, I really enjoyed completing homework through blogging because it is something different and in my opinion better than writing. The readings that were assigned all portrayed a learning message and if students were able to give insightful feedback on them in their blogs, then it would be pretty easy for a teacher to tell that the material is being read and comprehended. I think blogging is a pretty effective method of teaching and learning and I am glad to have been a part of a class which allowed me to experience new things.Â
