So we finally arrived to the Nyungwe Forest National Park after the accident on the road. We met up with some lovely people from the UK when we waited on the road, they later told us that they were the ones that caused the accident in the first place. They tried to drive past a massive truck in a turn (??) and then they met another big vehicle and they crashed. A few hours later the road to Uwinka was clear and we got there about 14.00. We had lunch and started the Canopy Walkway at 15.00. It took us about 2 hours in total at it was truly MINDBLOWING. It was one of the greatest forests I have ever been to. There were not a lot of tourists and me, Elin and Nils had a guide of our own. The canopy walkway is 70 meters up in the air and is about 90 meters long. The trees you can see on these photos is trees about 50-70 meters tall
I think I will let the pictures speak for themselves. If you ever come to Rwanda, you just have to visit this amazing place!
