Your skin changes with the seasons so it is logical to change your skin care, share if you find this post remotely useful. Appreciate it!🙏🏼 This post is timely as all week I have been lasing #rosacea flare ups! . . 🔬Skin Science: Seasonal changes include changes in the #UVindex, humidity, temperature & wind. Conditions such as rosacea, #eczema, #acne & #melasma will wax & wane with the seasons🍀🌤🍁❄️ . . ☃️Winter means lower humidity & increased TEWL or Trans-epidermal-water-loss. Solution? Quicker tepid showers to reduce dehydration, a more occlusive moisturizer & more frequent application . ☀️Spring & summer means higher UV & a flare up of photosensitive skin conditions such as rosacea & melasma. Solution? Increased #SPF protection & careful titration of antioxidants such as #ascorbicacid (Vit C), #niacinamide & #ferulicacid. Understand & respect your skin’s threshold. When humidity increases, swap to a lighter moisturiser to prevent breakouts! . . 😢Struggling with skin care or can not figure out your skin’s threshold? Book a consult with my #dermaltherapists or #dermatology nurses to help you. Dermatologist, @dr.hebajibreal@cliniccutis can also assist. . . 🖐🏽Hands & lips in Winter: Dry hands? #neutrogena hand cream is brilliant, best used at night. Chapped lips are also super common with decreasing humidity, Dr Sam also has #lipcare, or you can settle for a simple #chapstick. The trick is frequent application- 4-8 times a day, with the heaviest coat at night . . 😎Dr Davin Lim @cliniccutis BrisVegas 🇦🇺 . Please note: I am a procedural dermatologist - I cut🔪, laser💥, inject💉, stitch✂️ & do scary things🩸. For medical conditions, I do refer patients to my team / colleagues . . #skincareaddicts #beautytips#skincarecommunity #skincaretips (at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBWYKc5DnG2/?igshid=1kpmgeq5z1zqv
