Okay so adding onto my thought of every time Caine thinks he's an AI he becomes one. What if Jax tries strangling Caine when he's in AI mode and he doesn't suffocate and no one knows he can switch species so Kinger and Ragatha freak out thinking Caine is an actual AI. And Jax plus the others fully believe Caine is an AI at this point so both Bubble, Jax, and the others are telling him he isn't human.
He becomes so numb when hes in it he reacts like this whenever Jax would do it (again)
