i am writing you this letter hoping it’ll get through your thick skull and your pride : because gods forbid you ever stop brooding for fifteen minutes. i have made my choice to join lucina’s cause to change the past to save the future. 

obviously, you’ve shut yourself away in wyvern valley- like that will help you and your stubborn ass. the others are hoping i can change your mind before we leave; because our parents served house roseanne together, and we spent much of our youth together. ( a blob of ink stains the parchment at the end of the paragraph. )

i want you to come with us, too. but i . . . i don’t know if going to the past will even work, but . . . i have chosen to place my faith in lucina, and in house ylisse. the others want you to come because your strength is invaluable. i want you to come with, because you’re the last shred of family i have, and i don’t want to loose anyone else.

andromeda takes a sip of their hot coffee, before sighing deeply. “ you s-shouldn’t expect anything, y-yuri. ” the darkflyer’s hair is not up in it’s normal elaborate updo- and the snow white curls cascade around them like silk and dandelion puffs cautiously and elegantly woven into a human shape. 

“ fodlan is just a small and tiny part of the world, y-yuri. ” they smile, and push a small box of cake towards him, the cake the same flavor as the coffee that andromeda drinks. “ y-your knowledge of the world is a pitiful slice of the b-big picture. so- perhaps, i-it’s best if you lower your e-expectations for each new thing that y-you learn, or y-you will learn nothing in the long run. ”

“ i have been meaning to ask you, linhardt- ” the prince stands in front of the mage- preventing him from taking another step out of the classroom. “ as your house leader- it’s important for me to make sure you’re adjusting well. ” their arms cross. “ so allow me to be frank ; are you . . . having a hard time here ? ”
