5-Taste Uthappam Crepe is a delicious South Indian dish made with a crispy crepe and the tastes of onions, carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, and coconut. It's a great choice for breakfast or brunch because it looks good and tastes good.
Ingredients: 1 cup rice flour. 1/4 cup urad dal black gram flour. 1/4 cup semolina rava. 1/4 cup yogurt. 1/2 cup finely chopped onions. 1/2 cup grated carrots. 1/2 cup finely chopped bell peppers red, green, and yellow. 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 1/4 cup grated coconut. 1 tsp cumin seeds. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Salt to taste. Oil for cooking.
Instructions: Put rice flour, urad dal flour, semolina, and yogurt in a bowl and mix them together. Make a smooth batter by mixing it well. If you need to, add water until the mixture is like dosa batter. Leave the batter alone for four to six hours or overnight to let the yeast work. After the dough has fermented, add salt and baking soda to it. Combine well. Put a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium-low heat and lightly oil it. To make a thin crepe, pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it out in a circle. Spread out some grated carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, and grated coconut, along with finely chopped onions. Add some cumin seeds to the top to make it taste better. Add a little oil to the crepe's edges, and cook it until the bottom is golden brown and crispy. Cook the other side of the crepe until it's crispy and fully cooked. Take the uthappam crepe out of the pan and serve it hot. To make more uthappam crepes, do the same thing again with the rest of the batter and toppings.
