it's been what, four years since i got on the internet and joined this hellsite (affectionate)? and i've held on to this username throughout those years even as my personal life went through round after round of regeneration (said regeneration ft., among other things, a death of a family member, crawling headfirst out of a writeblr discord cult [iykyk], and coming out to some of my mutuals both off and online [not once, but twice]) but there comes a time where you have to sit down and think about what things are really important to you and i've realized, leading up to writing this, that this was at the bottom of the list. it's not something that happened all at onceāit's something that's been coming on slowly, while i've been trying to figure out who i am and where to go from here after some,,,,,, less than savory experiences under my current url, and it's time, i think, to move on, bc look, blocking people is sexy! and entirely valid, and can f*cking make or break your mental health (normalize cutting off toxic people for your own good, kids)
i'm not going to make this get longer than it has to be since i'll probably be reintroducing myself to the rest of Tumblr soon anyway, but i thought i should put this out here for my mutuals in case they head to the dashboard and can't figure who tf this person is, skskskskā@the-ichor-of-ruination is now @theinfinitedivides, courtesy of Joanna Newsom and her absolutely stunning song Divers, and is currently tracking #userdivides instead of #userruination.
