When I heard the cottages line in the final film, I couldn't believe my ears as it's so sweet to think that Mary is still honouring and remembering Matthew's legacy after all these years. It's also hilarious that they are still working on those cottages 18 years later - that's building work for you!

I could not stop laughing when making this gifset as it's such a funny sketch! I adore all the references to Matthew, Thomas' awkwardness and Michelle's Princess Leia buns are perfect!

My first ever Downton Abbey gifset and it's of my favourite trio in the show! I loved all the scenes in S3 between Mary, Matthew and Anna.
