Wedding Rhyme OC/Ship Asks
i think it's very fortunate for both prim and prompto to have grown up around one another and to have learned they can be vulnerable around one another. they've both seen each other during difficult times in their late childhood, to teen years, and early adulthood. just to kind of touch upon that last little bit of the ask first. so while in the face of others, they do have their walls, it's when they're alone that those walls can come down.
but...as far as comforting prim goes, prompto just tries to make her laugh. and sometimes it doesn't always work. so instead of sometimes making light of the situation (which may stand to upset prim a bit more pending on the severity of the circumstances), prompto will just...make a fool out of himself. he'll make himself look silly or downright stupid if it means getting her to smile or laugh so that she has something good to feel about. and this is something he's sought out getting better at doing...because she's a noble! and his money -- as far as he's concerned -- has no way of meaning anything to get her something that might make her feel better. so he uses himself and just putting himself at her side to show her he's there.
lonely or overwhelmed...though, when it's the former, prompto will just sit with prim. because he also knows what it's like to be the lonely kid. mean, they both really do. their whole general group does (noctis, primam, tandem, prompto; and while i haven't revealed her in any chapters or the side stories published, gloria as well). while prompto may not strongly enjoy 'comfortable silence', prim does, and he can generally wait it out until it gets too much for him and he has to say something to make it feel less awkward to him. this gets better over time at least.
