So this is random but I'm trying to figure out the right pronunciation of your name and, well, I figured this would be the best way to go about that (I'm new here and I don't know if this is exactly what the 'ask' button is supposed to be used for but why not?)
In my head I've been saying Calais the french way, like 'Kal-ay', and Reno like the short form of renovation lol. So I guess what I'm asking is, is that correct? Sorry this is so random, I just like making sure the voice in my head isn't butchering your name whenever I read it, as it so often butchers other words :D
Also does it have any specific meaning? No pressure I'm just curious.
(I supposed you could say mine is a reflection of the pain I wanted to inflict on the website after trying 100000 different usernames and being told they were all taken...)

My A03 Name is pronounced like the two cities: Calais, France and Reno, Nevada. The backstory: when I was writing original fiction back in the early days of gmail I used the names of characters from my stories to create emails for when I didn't want to use my real name. Calais Reno was a character in a story whose mother named her kids after cities. (As I recall she had a brother named Seattle.) The story is long gone, probably preserved on one of the many floppies in my desk drawer, but when I joined Ao3 I still had that email, so here we are!
"RampantMayhem" is very descriptive - I love it 💕 We all need a bit of that kind of mayhem.
