Why I'm Not Changing My Avatar To Support Any Cause
I don't feel that calling attention to yourself is doing anything for a cause you support. You're not showing your support by any material means nor in any way that actually makes a goddamn difference, you're not actually changing anything for the better, and you're not very likely to convert anyone to your cause merely by putting up a new avatar. All you're doing is jacking off over how much you really, really care about this issue, and what a good and righteous person that makes you.
I'd say this on Facebook, since the problem's far more prevalent over there, but I have too many close friends there who have bought into this silly shit, and I'd rather not endanger my friendships with them by insulting them to their faces. Meanwhile, I don't even know anyone on this website, other than my wife and her sister.
