I'm begging my fellow Good Omens fans, please don't fall for replying to the ragebaiting that I see posted so often by people outside the fandom. Just this morning I saw a clearly provocative post, saying things about how "the hype has died down" and "can we all agree X about it is bad and everyone lapped it up anyway", and like. That person is not engaging in good faith. They're trying to make people mad and negative, and pull others down to their level. I saw so many replies and reblogs of that post, of GO fans passionately defending their continued love for the show and the upcoming finale. And the OP just kept doubling down and arguing with everyone in circles, clearly enjoying the reaction they were receiving.
It's not worth it. Don't give them the attention they're craving. Don't let their negativity intrude on your fandom joy. Ignore them. Block them and move on. Online fandom is so much nicer when you block out the haters.
(I'm specifically addressing Good Omens fans because it's my main fandom rn and I had that recent example fresh in my mind. But this advice applies to all fandoms, big and small. Whatever you're into, don't let people crush your excitement. Block em, block em, block em.)
