This fic was definitely one that was a bright spot to look forward to in all the stress of graduating and job hunting! It's very interesting to be able to read about something that traumatic and the ways that a family would very realistically and naturally respond to it...I find huge emotions like that are one of the hardest things to knock out of the park and I would say that you absolutely have!!

Anyways, thank you so much for the joy you've given me being able to read your amazing writing and I thought it was only fair if I tried to kick you a little something back!

@usbarkservice Hello! I told you this already, but when I saw this in my inbox, I cried for a bit!

Thank you SO MUCH for this amazing surprise and for the kind words. It really means the world. Things have been difficult, and I've been so tired, but this really gave me an incredible boost. It is one of the first times anyone has ever drawn art based on one of my fics and the feeling is incomparable.

And it looks so good!! The emotions! The pathos! The teeth, the exhaustion, the anger! Usagi reaching with both hands! The spilled mug! Aaah! Aahhhhh!!

Suffice to say, I loved it. Thank you so much, again. And for everyone else, there's two new chapters if you haven't seen them.

Chapter 24: (Monday) In Between

Anyways that fic still has never left my mind and in particular I think a whole lot about the scene where Leo pinches the tips of Usagi's ears but they're cold from the krang shadows wahhh....

Season's greeting n all that, I figured that if something has stuck with me for that long that I should probably give a little sugar to my local author and I had the inspo to make a little piece for that fic!

OH MY GOD I AM SCREAMING. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA. hey!! hi!!! yes i remember you i think your picture of your poor neglected horse grooming is my favorite reaction to a fanwork I’ve gotten ever and sometimes I think about it randomly and it brings me joy.

i’m VIBRATING holy SHIT. LOOK AT THEMMMMMMMMMMB. this is!! ah!!!!!! i don’t have the WORDS for it, i love the silhouette mask tails as shadows themselves, i love poor usagi’s stone lack of expression, i LOVE the shadows dripping off his EARS!! you really nail the liquid-living-gnarly branches style i visualized for the krang shadows and could never have drawn myself.

Tomoe is my favorite favorite favorite favorite character ever I would kill for her I would die for her but most importantly DO YOU HAVE A REFERENCE FOR THE PRETTY CALICO VERSION YOU HAVE MADE OF HER BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO DRAW IT PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!

GASP WHAT IS UP DUDE I'mma be real with you I kinda just make up character features on the fly so I didn't have an immediate visual for Tomoe besides "fluffy, badass, no human hair" so uhhhh feel free to tweak this general idea to your preference! (I am SO hyped to see what you make!!! ueueueueuue I'm emotions)

I'm realizing that the monochrome isn't all that helpful as a reference; the grey patches would actually be orange. Standard fluffy calico kinda markings. Her name's written out (to the best of my understanding of how kanji naming conventions work) as 雨 (Ame for "rain") and 知 (Chi for "wisdom, to govern") 永 (Ei for "long lasting, limitless").

Serviiiiiiiiiii she's so PRETTYYYYYYYYYYY this is BETTER than what I had in mind!!!! her big fluffy tail!!!!! you totally nailed down that shaggy cat fur look and she's like?? equal parts unkempt and elegant oh my GOSH the white highlights are so sharp!!! THE LITTLE MON PATTERN ON HER KIMONO and the PAW BEANS I'm running to the tallest hill I can find to show this off to everyone in the vicinity are y'all seEING THIS SHIT?!?!?! damn dude I didn't realize you were doing a wholeass render!! I feel like her expression in the front-facing drawing is SO conveying comic Tomoe she's PERFECT

I would say this is exactly what I've been waiting months and months for but then you had to tease Tomoe Ame so you can rest assured that if this fic has no readers, I have died.

Speaking of Miss Ame....I had so much fun drawing her I would love to make some more art for this fic. Are artworks for this chapter's latest....content....acceptable?
