Daena's snow outfit
Dana is a good walker, so she doesn't fall on snow, but she does fall on ice, in which case she use simple crampons.
The coat's closure uses claws so that it can be easily used even while wearing thick gloves.
Also, while zippers are an option other than buttons, zippers would likely require a high level of technical skill and are expensive (or don't exist) in the world of closers, so a simple claw method was used.
Also, the fur on the edges of the coat and hem is made of leather, not exposed fur.
Daena is a close combat job, so if her fur was exposed it would probably get ruined quickly.

In terms of timing, the events on the day of the Snow monster illustration. This is a common thing about mountain climbing: the better you are at walking, the less likely you are to fall. Putting your feet forward straight and cleanly, not leaning your center of gravity unnecessarily, and in the case of snow, kicking the slope slightly while digging your feet into the ground (kick stepping). There are actually many techniques to simply walking.
Deep snow pass❄️
The front of the path is buried in deep snow, making it impossible to move forward. This illustration shows how incredibly difficult it is.
Timeline-wise, this is the day after the SnowMonster illustration. In the SnowMonster illustration, the group isn't carrying any gear, but in this illustration, they're carrying backpacks. Deep snow can be difficult to traverse in one day, so the first day is used to clear a path. For this reason, they focus on clearing a path with light loads on the first day, and on the second day, they carry their gear and cross the pass.
The flag you see in the background was attached as a guidepost by someone at a nearby hut. During a snowstorm, visibility becomes completely white (whiteout), so these flags serve as landmarks to prevent getting lost.

Snow monster bounus topic
Tree monsters are not aggressive, as they survive by absorbing mana and water from the atmosphere. Since there is no Demon Lord in the world of UsaMimiDa, plant-type monsters are rarely aggressive. If there was a Demon Lord, I think they would be controlled by his magical powers, or would be his subordinates and attack. One other thing to think about is that plants that feed on people's magical powers or bodies would probably attack.
