It was a long travel day and I was ready to eat and drink!! I had to checked in after a 30 minute ride from the airport into town. I was walking to Usadu pretty shortly after I checked in. This was where my friends were so I was joining and would make the best of whatever place they had chosen!! Thankfully, it was only a 10 minute walk. I found my friends at a table for about 8 people, with food already ordered. I ordered a local beer on draft and waited to see what was coming in the way of food. The beer was light to medium bodied with a nice malty flavor. The beer list was pretty extensive, with a good number on draft and quite a few bottles as well. I was totally exhausted so dont remember which local beer I had. Just know that the first went down quickly and another was ordered immediately!! 😊 The next thing I know, there was a platter full of all types of meat on our table. I was told that it was 5 lbs of various meats, including 3 types of pork ribs, 2 types of sausages and chicken wings. I'm certain that I am forgetting something but I dug in rather indescriminantly because I was so hungry. I tried a few types of the pork first, one being tender with a lot of fat, like a pork belly. Another was more like a juicy, flavorful ham. The sausage was equally well seasoned and delicious. The wings were crisp outside but juicy in the center!! All in all, an excellent selection of outstanding meats of all types. In addition, there potato pancakes, which were a bit dense and heavy. On there own, I wasn't a fan but once the goat cheese came around, I spread some on and they were quite good!! Usadu was a nice surprise, considering I just walked in and all I had to do was order a beer and enjoy the feast that landed on our table!! I would absolutely return and, if I had a good sized group, would order the same meat platter to share. Being in Prague, the prices were very reasonable as well. And our server was very attentive as our group was reordering drinks fairly regularly and they came rapidly!! This restaurant is a little ways put of the center, actually near the needle the tallest structure in the city area. Definitely stop in for some grilled meat if you are near the tower!!
