Today was an important day in my life. I passed my 🇺🇸 Citizenship test, and on Monday, I will be attending my naturalization ceremony. I am delighted to be a USA Citizen 🇺🇸🥰🇺🇸🥰🇺🇸 When we gave the news to my mom, she burst into tears and couldn't stop crying. My mother brought us to this country; she left everything and everyone behind to give us a chance to follow our dreams. Everyone in my family is a citizen, and I was the last one to become one. I procrastinated for years because I wanted to do all the filing myself; those who know about immigration know it is a tedious process. At the same time, I didn't want to pay a lawyer. What illusion was I telling myself? Finally this year, I hired a lawyer, assistants, graphic designers, helpers, etc., to do the things I needed to get done and I had to let go of the idea “I have to do it all by myself.” These are the results of letting go of control and surrendering to ask for help or hire help.
