TRAGEDY - Darker Days Ahead 12”
(2012, USA, Tragedy)
This winter, this record really started to click with me. I never disliked this record, I just never really felt compelled to listen to it over their other material, but the harsh, brutal, cold of this winter this year just made it all come together for me. This is the test press copy with blank labels that they sold on their 2012 US tour. No idea how many were pressed, I remember them saying they had to make sure to only sell a certain amount each night so they didn’t sell out before the tour was up, so probably 200-300 ish?
LEBENDEN TOTEN - Synaptic Noise Dissociation 12”
(2020, USA, Iron Lung)
Nothjng like a drill in your ear first thing in the morning. Live recording from 2017.
FINAL CONFLICT - Ashes To Ashes 12”
(1987, USA, Pusmort)
Recently got a copy of this through a trade, sadly no booklet. From California, similar to Iconoclast but more catchy in spots. You can hear that melodic CA sound creeping in a lot. Great, heavy and desperate political hardcore punk.
WARCRY - Nausea 7”
(2008/2009, USA, Warcry Records)
Smasher.

F.U.’s - Kill For Christ 12”
(1982, USA, Xclaim!)
Hardcore will never be able to recreate this time. Forge your own path.
TRAGEDY - Fury 12” EP
(2018, USA, Tragedy Records)
What everyone wanted their next record to be, I guess. The opposite extreme on the Tragedy spectrum from Darker Days Ahead. For the most part, I like their last 12”, but I guess I am with the sheep who just wanted a return to form on the next record. The Tragedudes may not be as young and spry as they once were, but this thing fuckin rips, no old man shit, here. All fast, no slow, tight as hell, heavy sound with Japanese HC melody.
LEBENDEN TOTEN - Static! 12" (2017, USA, Iron Lung) Brand new one sided epic, long tune from one of my favorite modern hardcore punk bands. This was a really cool idea and I was really excited to hear this, but honestly, it comes off like they didn't put much thought or effort into this. It's still good, mind you, because it's still Lebenden Toten, but it just feels thrown together, more is needed to really pull something like this off.
