No, actually. Equipe E is incredibly doomed by the narrative. They were sent on a mission they would never be able to win. They sacrificed everything on that mission, Liz with her age and Thiago with his life, and ultimately, it didn’t even do anything. Despite how much they gave, and they gave everything, Liz and Thiago won nothing. They didn’t accomplish anything worthy of note. They are just two people that Arthur and Joui used to know.

They will fade into the obscurity of the Order. They will be remembered by very few and disappear forever when the few that knew them die too.

Doomed by the narrative. That team was never going to survive. Kaiser is dead because he sacrificed himself to keep the others alive. Liz ultimately died for nothing because Gal wanted to get her out of the way. Thiago sacrificed himself I destroy a town that came back anyway.

Like her life is literally over. And I know that it’s not by real world standards and she’s only fifty. And there’s a lot she can still do at fifty. But all on records, she’s only twenty eight. She spent twenty two years struggling in agony to escape the god of death to no avail. There was no hope of escape. No way to get out. She is the only person who knows what that is like (unless it happens later on but I’ve only just finish OSNF). It’s only her. So when she saw Verissimo again and asked him what he was crying for, it’s not like he’s really lost much, the truth is that he really not lost as much as Liz had in that moment. And maybe he did and he just hasn’t revealed it, but she wouldn’t know that. Because Liz has lost everything.

If Joui had tried to stop her from shooting the Wellspring, she would have done it. But it was Thiago who stopped her. It was Thiago who told her that she gave them the name “Hope” so she couldn’t lose that now.

And now she has. She’s lost her mother, her life, her job, the rest of her youth, her best friend, and everything else. It’s over. It’s done.

So yes, lol. I will think to hard about it. Holy shit. It’s so evil. Cellbit and Bagi did Liz so dirty and I’m so not normal about this. I’m so not normal about how Rakin and Bagi treated Liz and Thiago’s relationship this season. Fuck this series. It’s so good and it hurts so bad and I will be immediately starting the next one.

For AOP, OSNF, and OPD, the captions are amazing. Equipe T did an amazing job working on them and I am incredibly grateful to them for the work that they do because without it, I would be clueless.

The auto-translate captions are fine. I think if you watched the previous three seasons with the Equipe T translations, you would be able to pick up on a lot that you would miss, but I do rely pretty heavily on context clues and previous knowledge in specific moments. And if there’s a filter on Cellbit’s voice or too many people are talking, that makes it incredibly difficult to follow.

I think it helps that I have been learning Portuguese since QSMP Purgatory (November 2023), so that helps. I can’t read Portuguese very much at all and I don’t understand a lot of grammar, since flash card apps and stuff like that can only help so much, but it does help with vocabulary some. So the auto-translate might tell me that it means something (Calamidade’s captions just love to talk about sex), but I know that’s not what is being said.

The real test comes in the Revelandos because they have zero captions at all. Nothing official, nothing auto-generated, nothing at all. So you just have to rawdog it. But when I watched Desconjuração’s revelando, I actually followed it pretty well so that’s exciting.

The TDLR I guess would be that I would recommend starting with the seasons with the Equipe T captions for sure, since that will help build a good understanding of what is happening. After that, you should have enough context to be able to fill in the gaps that the auto-translate doesn’t pick up on. Which is most important during battles and the battles have the same format every time.

Hello! Yeah, of course! Throughout the season, I’ve noticed that Amelie and Olivier are often taking care of their parents emotionally. Amelie literally had to give her mother a pep talk to tell her that “No! Dad will still love you. You’re not ugly. You’re an awesome person!” And Olivier had a similar conversation with his dad about how Amelie is frustrated with him, but she didn’t mean to say those mean things to him.

This is a reoccurring theme. Where something will happen and Amelie and Olivier will comfort their parents or help them deal with their emotions and feelings. Specifically when it comes to their relationship.

It’s such a strange thing to make your child do. Coming from someone who is that kid. Amelie and Olivier shouldn’t have to be responsible for their parents like that.

Poor girl did not deserve to suffer like that. So incredibly normal about all of it. How she was tortured just like Lina was. How Lina was her only friend. How she just suffered until Mia found her.
