AH yes! You know what I’ll tell you guys a little bit about them. The skek/urrusonas are based on me so keep that in mind. As for my gelfling, I wrote a little bit about her here! Feel free to ask me more questions if you’re interested.Â
skekNer the Jeweler: Like her name sake, she’s in charge of making jewelry for the skeksis. However, her other responsibilities involved overseeing all of Thra’s mines. Her work often intertwined with skekEkt’s so they often collaborated on projects. In her younger days, skekNer used to be in the mines herself carving out the best minerals and metals to use. She has a cane that she constantly bangs on the ground, which she uses to determine if the soil holds valuable resources. She used to be very sociable and active but after she got seriously sick, she became a severe hypochondriac. SkekNer keeps herself locked in her chambers working on her stuff and only comes out for food, the Sun Ceremony, and weekly health check ups from skekTek (which was something granted to her after whining about it so much). The only friend she has is with skekShod who both have a mutual hatred for the Emperor. Not very materialistic, but she is a huge perfectionist with a bad temper. SkekNer’s jewelry and gemstones are beautifully crafted, but not so according to her standards. She’s never satisfied with anything she makes and she often takes it out on those around her.Â
urIda the Observer: A very sweet urru who is willing to help out anyone who asks... but don’t expect her to do things in a timely manner. UrIda gets easily distracted, especially when it comes to rocks or simple formations. She’ll stare at a boulder for hours or even days until she’s done appreciating it. Regardless of where she is, she remains perfectly still and often too distracted to interact with the world around her. Gelfling and other creatures who have seen her believed she’s some bizarre statue until they notice she disappears. She’s been given the name “the Living Statue”. Her appearance also gives her a very stoney-quality to add to her myth. Although she has a great eye for detail, she’s extremely forgetful. Normally she would live in the Valley, but she’d go fetch something for one of the mystics, gets distracted, tries to remember what she was doing, gets distracted again, and then finds her way back to the Valley... only to remember what she left for and goes back out again. It’s normal for her to return every 50 - 100 trine. Interestingly, because she travels everywhere she has interacted with both skeksis and mystics alike.Â
