When Upstead says 👀 after any sort of meaningful conversation, whether it’s more serious, or they manage to add in a bit of lightheartedness to the situation. They are always there for each other, & that’s part of the reason why their looks at each other are so impactful: cause it’s their way of saying, “I understand, I got you.” ❤️😌 (IMO)

because not only did it give us concerned partner moments between Upstead (aka worried husband vibes from Jay about his work wife Hailey) but Tracy’s performance was EPIC + we learned so much about Hailey’s backstory. Not to mention it was the beginning of the thing that works between them. 🥃👀

if I had to pick just one because it encompasses how Upstead’s partnership works. It’s built on trust respect honesty care and thoughtfulness. Emotion too. They’ll always be there for each other no matter what & I think that’s beautiful. 😌

BECAUSE JAY HALSTEAD COULD’VE SAID HIS MOM SISTER COUSIN AUNT IDGAF BUT NO THE MAN SAID “my uh, my GiRLfRiEnD” AND THEN WALKED TO HIS TRUCK AND SHOWED HAILEY THE FLOWERS TO WHICH SHE RESPONDED WITH “what a guy” AND HAD THE HUGEST SMILE ON HER FACE— so since he technically gave the roses to hailey then — HAILEY UPTON IS JAY HALSTEAD’S GIRLFRIEND 😊

Considered it after 5x18 because if Hailey could open up to Jay & be vulnerable in front of him, then they’ve got something special there...something more than just partners.

Was definitely sold on the idea of them being a couple after 6x02 because even after all they went through (fighting & whatnot), Hailey still was only concerned for/about Jay. 🥺
