Would you happen to know why I can't upload a gif to tumblr even though its under size limit?
There are two main reasons that this’ll happen usually.
The first (and very unlikely) reason is that the GIF is too long. I’m not sure how long exactly a GIF has to be to qualify as too long, but it must be a good 100 frames at least.
The second reason is something I get faced with a lot. Tumblr doesn’t care for saturated GIFs e.g. anything with an excess of cyan or magenta. This really sucks, as the only work around (that I know of) that doesn’t involve completely changing the original colours of the GIF, is to lighten the whole GIF, which’ll usually end up lessening the overall quality.
So yeah, if your GIF contains a large quantity of blues or purples (purples especially) you should always be expecting the worst. Just hit up the Hue/Saturation menu, raise the lightness (between 10 and 20 is the usual sweet spot) and hopefully that’ll sort things out.

ok so I've been trying to upload this photo for a while now, it kept coming up with ERROR UPLOADING PHOTO and I was just about ready to flip a table BUT THEN IT WORKED AFTER TURNING THE VIBRANCE DOWN. And yes this is an IMPORTANT post for those who are in the same situation, hope this helps. KBYE
