【UNIV1001を終えて】
まずはじめに、スコアは97点のAで終了しました。
【peer課題の難しさ】
中盤からDFやWAで不当スコアといいますか。peerがわたしの課題に評価をつけなかったのか本来3人からの評価の平均値がスコアにつくんですが2人とかびっくりしたのは1人しか評価を返さなかった時ですね。その人がしっかり評価とFeedbackを返してくれれば問題ないんですが、そういう時に限ってFeedbackを受け取った側からすると「これはしっかり評価してないな」と受け取れるほどの杜撰な内容だったり。
インストラクターに再評価を依頼するときはコースの終盤よりは再評価をして欲しいものができた時点でメールを送るべきです。理由は終盤にあれもこれもと依頼される側からすると追い付かなかったり今更？感がでてくるからです。
なので私も結果を受け取るたび再評価が必要と感じたものについてはインストラクターにメールをしていました。しかし中盤からインストラクターがメールへの返事も再評価も一切手をつけなくなりました。わたしはUnit4と5で不当と思しき評価の再評価を依頼しましたがUnit8,9になっても返信が来なかったので、実質再評価依頼はUnit5で止まりました。逆にGQ、LJは落とせないのでそっちに全振りし、DFとWAは評価が悪くても無視するようになりました。とりあえず提出し課題を通して学びを得ることだけに集中し、他者からのratingは気にしても意味ないと思うようになりました。
【どのような対応をしたか】
最終的にはAdviserに連絡したので再評価をしてくれたのか1点にも満たない点数ではありますが更新されていたようです。本当に更新されたかどうかはonline campusのgradeから消えてしまったので確認はできていません。
なぜ97点と確認できたかというと、学生ポータルのサイトで最終得点97点と表記されていたからです。クラスの平均点は小数点以下も二桁まで記載されていましたが自己スコアについては整数のみでした。もしこれが小数点以下は繰り上げされているのであれば私のスコアは再評価されたことになっていません。気になったのはその辺りくらいですね。
【UNIV1001を受講して】
ENGL01との違いは5 paragraphとかは全くやりませんでした。これはおそらく大学生として過ごすための科目になるのでENGL01ほど深く踏み込んでないんだと感じました。次はCS1101です。この科目を73%以上の成績で突破すれば腫れてFoundation course終了となり、Degree seeking studentとなり学割等々恩恵が受けられるようになります。目標は卒業ですが状況によっては渡米するのもいいのでは？と思っています。
今はひーひー言いながら毎週をこなしていますがいづれUoPeopleに関する記事などもshareしていきます。
【UoPeople】コース登録完了
前回投稿では…Duolingoを受験した結果、UoPeopleの基準点に達していたので、復学申請を出す。個人的に退学してからまる一年経過していたと思い込んでいたが、3termまでの休学が使えていたので実際は退学してから半年程度で復学していた模様。とはいえ申請料も再びかかることなく復学できたので結果オーライ。
当初結果の送り方が分からず右往左往していたがDuolingoの結果送信から大学に送信できた。加えて不安だったので担当のアドバイザーにもURLを共有。復学のOKが出て、なおかつENGL0101免除の連絡をもらいなんとかLate registerに間に合いました。
科目は自動登録というブログも見ましたが、term1結構ギリギリの時期なのとそもそも履修登録期間は終わっていたので、コースは自動じゃなくて自ら申し込みました。これで自動狙って登録できないとか笑えないので。一応Foundation studentとして2コースの単位取得が必須なので登録してみました。無理だなと思ったら1コースだけでもクリアを目指します。卒業までに必要なコース数は40だったかな？少しずつ自分に足りない知識を培っていこうと思います。
