I click a video to make it play and it pulls me who knows where where my screen looks like this despite me never agreeing to the tumblr live pop ups and keeping tumblr live turned off

(Note also that I’m a light mode user so it’s just in dark mode for everyone I guess. Also the person who posted that post doesn’t have an anon pfp this just changes every pfp into an anon pfp)

When it does this there’s a 1/3 chance it plays without an unmute button, completely silent and a 1/3 option that it doesn’t play. You can (or have to) press back but once you do if it DID have sound it’ll keep playing from where you left it except it’ll stay muted. So you’re missing part of the video because playing it without clicking on the video has no point in video progression toggle AND if you adjust the volume (something I do a lot bc I have noise sensitivity) it automutes but once more KEEPS PLAYING. Half the times I tried pressing unmute because the button is ON THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE VIDEO I click the video and it drags me once again.

For me watching videos on here is now infuriating and causes more frustration than a fun little video could bring joy and I’m going to ether start looking for alternatives for this site or I’m going to just avoid video features/find the video’s source and watch it elsewhere as that would honestly cost me less time and frustrate me less. Ether way I fully plan to spend less time on this app and have never considered the possibility of deleting it more than now.
