okie tw for kinda brazen discussion of SA and implied CSA because I don't have the energy to mask right now. and incest, ofc. see, the thing is, my Thoughts are not my own. My moot @/unproblematicfav-arsonk got me into Morningstarcest with their Atropa AU, where Charlie is like a succubus sphinx demon (catgirl Char is the bestest). In K's AU, Lucifer (eventually forcibly) applied a porcelain coating to Charlie, basically making her into a doll. in the process of developing this lore, it kinda became "Hey, Luci, why'd you turn your succubus daughter into a literal object, eh bud?" and "what if Luci just rebuilds her hymen everytime [he abuses her] like 'this is the last time' but it isn't."

like, Arson characterizes Luci in a way that was more typically of the pre-series/pilot era of Hazbin fandom, where he's a sort of typical devil character, but I think he always had more depth in fanfiction then. Nowadays he's always written as a golden retriever sadboy and I just don't vibe with it, especially for shipping. all the morningstarcest fanart and most of the fanfic these days is really fluffy and just isn't my vibe but there's so much Potential in that devil's idiosyncrasies, triggers, and emotional responses, but I just don't have the time or energy to dig through it all myself.

and like, don't get me wrong, the fluffy stuff is pretty and a lot of it is well-written as far as I've seen. I just really don't love fluffy parent/child incest. I just like it better when it's dark and angsty and shit.

anywayy though, maybe I should make a dark morningstarcest propaganda post because there's a lot of Little Things in the series and pilot that make my brain go DING DING DING for the "Lucifer Could Be An Asshole" category.

The Dad Beat Dad episode and his absolute Weirdo Behavior possessiveness of Charlie is a big one though.

she's a teacher who, right now, is training with a group of other teachers to be qualified to give sex ed classes (not the biological part, the cultural one: consent, sexism, body insecurities, etc...)

one night she told me that they were about to cover porn and sexual images in society, which led to this exchange:

mom: oh, I can't wait to impress the group by using the word "heteronormative"! and they'll be even more impressed when they hear my own child invented it! :D

me: ... what? mum, do you think I'm the person who invented the word "heteronormative"?

mom: aren't you?

me: no! it's a word that's been created and used by scholars and activists since way before I was born!

mom: oh... :( I was really looking forward to telling people you created it though

me: do you want me to invent another word you can use?
