♤ Has your muse developed to be different from their canon selves through roleplay?

i guess so. not in a bad way just in a more developed way. its just exactly that. i dont think i really deviate or even like to write myself as deviating from his character at all.

a lot of chihiro’s stuff were puzzle pieces; you had to put them together and make your own inferences (though this is such a lazy term tbh… chihiro’s stuff is explicitly there, a lot of ppl just ignore it and never rlly put two and two together or acknowledge it as a grand thing). for example, the shsl programmer (commonly accepted as chihiro fujisaki) working with shsl neurologist (yosuka matsuda) and shsl therapist (???)… if chihiro was making an A.I. with a soul at the time of his binding with the future foundation (as he so alludes to in a free time) and simultaneously working with students w titles like neurologist and therapist… its safe to say chihiro was helping with artificial intelligences that were intended to replace people. it’s a pretty sure-fire inference, given his own creations replacing him (even they drop stuff about him!)

and and and! another example!! chihiro is so smart! he is so smart & no amount of memory erasing could take cognitive response from him! he learned to make alter ego twice! the second time within a single, devoted night. its such a huge point to realize! he is so smart! no one credits him with this as much as kirigiri did, and this is in school mode!

this is such a careful choice though, the scattering of facts we have about chihiro. chihiro is intended to go unnoticed as smth great bc thats what his character is all about! this was implemented not only in the story but through an audience’s lens. you’re supposed to go on and focus on naegi and kirigiri, because the people setting the stage for the advancement of their tale are in the shadows: junko and chihiro.

anyways. i know this is like. going off the wall. point is is that im just hyper aware of any detail that is put into the story concerning chihiro, and recognizing these things has helped me move from “quibbling trope & throwaway character” to someone incredibly admirable and super duper amazing at what he does and believes in, even beyond the grave.

✦ Has your own interpretation changed from when you first began playing the character?

yea back when i was indie i was still on a side of “hes a quibbler” and like, he is, but he doesnt stumble on every word. he’s only excessively or remarkably stuttery if he is nervous (presumably around girls and general situations he doesnt want to be in)

✎ What do you wish the author would reveal/had revealed about your muse?

i honestly wanna know more about chihiro’s mom bc its just. so weird. taichi fujisaki (chihiro’s dad) is characterized in a way that made me and others confuse him for a single dad. he was called a flaky father from his own family, as if hes the only authoritative person in chihiro’s life. but? chihiro? has? a mom? he has a mom. taichi said he couldn’t find his wife and child. he thought chihiro and fujimama were alive. chihiro has a mom– with canon confirmed design, no less.

but like? i dont understand. i wanna know more about her. i know chihiro’s prejudices came from bullies but where was his mother in lieu of this? what was she? what did she do? what did she live as? was she not as present as taichi?

Socializing was a waste of time… but, maybe it wasn’t so bad, just this once.  A little conversation never killed anyone (and standing against the wall and watching everyone was getting a little too nostalgic).

“So…”  He’d chosen his conversation partner (victim) based on color scheme, at a loss on how otherwise to mingle.

Kaito blinks; once, twice, three times, as if trying to discern that the figure he saw a short distance away in the ballroom was actually who he thought it was. And once he’s certain, well. It’s only natural to approach, isn’t it?

“Miku?” He asks, as if to make sure, an incredulous look on his face as he speaks. “Is that--Oh, wow!”

± = The character and what they think about math

He barely knows how to count, let alone add or multiply. Math is one of those things that he will try to do, but... no, it’s just not happening.
