          Okay,    yeah,    there    was     NO    WAY    that    whatever    this    thing    --    person,    BEING,    whatever     --    ahead     of    her    was    HUMAN.             “WHAT...     In    GOD’S    NAME    are     you--?”

           “THIS    is    the    BOTTOM    LINE,    it’s    true.”          Christine’s    voice    does    NOT    waver    from    its    original    tone,    arms    crossed     over    her    chest.

        “ALWAYS    on    the    hunt    for   a    LITTLE    MORE    TIME.”          A    shrug,    the    doctor     knew    at    this    point    that    time    didn’t    stop    for    ANYONE,    and    even    if    it   DID,    it   was    of    the    ESSENCE. 

         “A    little    too    much    for    friends    but    not    enough    to    share?”          Quietly,    her     head     tilted    to    the    side,    she    tried     to    lower    her    voice    though    it    was     POSSIBLE     Stephen    could    hear.

         “...Yes.    I    like    pina    coladas.”          A    gesture    to    the   drink;    she    was    sure    the    one    the    OPPOSING    had    was    not    as    FRUITY.

          A     BLANK    NOD    as    the    other     talks;    Christine    isn’t    sure    what    she’s   on    about    THIS    TIME.    She    tunes    out    fairly   easily    when    LARGER    PICTURE    ITEMS   --    other    worlds,    magic,    all    of    that     --    is    mentioned.    Finally,    snapping    back    to    the     conversation,    she    puts   a    hand     up    to    stop    Mantis.            “...I’m    NOT    OKAY.    You    wear   me    out.”

          “PLEASE    don’t    mind    what    I’m    TRYING   to    say    --    ‘cause    I’m    being     HONEST.”            ...She    might    have    been    a   bit   RUDE   to    him;    but    he    started    it,    TECHNICALLY.

         A    BROW    raises    at    the    opposing’s    actions.     Christine    won’t    tell    on    him...     YET.      (    Then     again,    who    does    this    in   a    HOSPITAL?   )            “...You    KNOW    you’re    in   trouble,    right?”
