A drinking game set up by Nami for one of their money ploys was at the end of the stretch, drinks out, glasses and bottles empty all around. Company of strangers that were put under the table and passed out after some time spent on this little game that was robbing people blind. The last few toppled and as the last one remaining; Luffy stood up like not one drop of alcohol had passed through his lips. With about twenty drinks on his end gone, everyone else had sunk at their sixteenth or seventeenth while Nami gleefully snatched the bag of money. 

A little was left for him for the part played to make it possible; adding to money already on hand as steps taken led up to the counter just for another drink and some food. Dark gaze shifted at a sight he wasn’t used to seeing lately with a contrast and mystery about her. The woman immediately peaked interest and impulse pushed the change on where to go before even sitting anywhere. “Mind if I buy you a drink?” was propositioned to get the ball rolling to simply be in her company and learn more about her given the different air enveloping the blonde.

The answer given wasn’t all that new; just the same old same old spun under the guise of different words used. Finally sitting down next to the newfound company after standing for a good few minutes, another drink and an appetizer were ordered for himself.
