WIP Whenever
Ok, @xxnashiraxx tagged me (tysm for that!!!!) and I couldn't help myself, because this snippet is something I have in my head since I wrote chapter one of The Celestial Princess, but only recently I managed to do the first draft (I believe I'll change some things, but only when I get to chapter 13-ish, were I imagine this will fit)
Wendy shot Natsu in the air, a move reminiscent of what they did in Tenrou against Hades. It was quicker, preciser, even if this time Lucy wasnāt helping with Scorpio. Instead, the celestial mage changed stardresses, sending her spirit back as Juvia covered for her with a water shield. Aquariusā form filled Lucy with magic. The battle took longer than she expected. But she couldnāt blame her friends, there were about a thousand soldiers for each one of them and even if half of them fled, it was still an impressive number. Not to mention the leaders. And now a summoned Battle God, created by sacrificing Avatarās own army. Lucy wanted to throw up. This wasnāt how summoner magic should work. Her magic was a sacred art even when demanded sacrifice. This was rotted. Twisted. It made her angry. No, not angry. Enraged. She had looked at Natsu, before heād shouted to Wendy, and could see he was pissed off too. Those kinds of sacrifices were against everything they believed. Now, as he was flying straight to the gigantic figure emerging from the sky, she felt the certainty wash over her body. A half-plan formed in her head. āJuvia, Wendy, cover me.ā Both mages nodded and Lucy gathered the stardust under her skin. Sheād never used the spell before and didnāt even think it would work like she wanted, but the sun was setting and she could feel the kingās approval. She was his emissary. She had trained for that. She smirked, thinking it was about time her friends witnessed just what she was capable of. As if he sensed her, Natsuās magic flowed to her body. His warmth filled her veins. It was unexpected, but not unwelcome. It was similar to when she and Juvia did⦠Oh. They were doing that. She wanted to laugh, really. Her heart was full and her magic intertwined with his and sheād never felt so right. So deliriously happy. Ludicrous. The adrenaline, the anticipation. She wasnāt one to like fighting, but that moment was exhilarating. She called for cancer weapons, unified the two swords in one, and pointed to the sky. Lucy couldnāt hear Natsu, and she couldnāt believe they were doing an Unision Raid so far away from each other, but she could feel her magic coursing to him and his magic burning inside her and she was certain that when she finished the incantation, he also descended with his own spell. āLet the 88 Stars of the heaven shine now. Starlight Dreams. Galaxia Blade!ā The clouds parted, the orange sky gave its way to a beautiful meteor shower. Blues and reds falling from the heavens like divine retribution. The spell had changed now that it worked with him, the light followed his movements, the stars bent to his will. He was, after all, in sync with her will. When Natsu punched the Battle God, everything went white for a second, and when they could open their eyes again, the giant god had become stone. A second later, it started to crack, crumbling after that. Dust covering everything and anything in a mile radius. It was over.
Tagging as always @melyule (no pressure tho <3)
