Grok this, fellow Rhode Islanders: The state wants to place a new transit hub along with a tower on land near the State House, possibly right on the State House lawn. The original proposed site for this complex, now rejected as too expensive, was over the railroad tracks directly…

Why I Love Toronto

Innocent, Somewhere Out There are two of my favorite Our Lady Peace songs and In This Life and Invincible are my favorite Chantal Kreviazuk songs. Now I love Chantal and Raine (leader singer of Our Lady Peace) they are my favorite Canadian celebrity couple and when I look at their relationship I actually believe that marriages last and it’s their relationship that inspires me to get married. I even want to name one of my future sons Raine. Anyways these two are known for their music, activism and marriage, but today they add to be being known as owners a fitness centre in Toronto.

The space has a beautiful spa feeling to it which I believe coming from this couple and is located in an old studio on 571 Wellington Street (just a block west of the Thompson Hotel) where Our Lady Peace used to rehearse. The facility has a number of interesting points of workout such as TRX in which cables are attached to a bar and you basically hold on, pull the cables and do squats and other work outs for your legs and thighs. They have an area called the Barre which has a similar set up to a ballet studio and is where you do ballet position with weights along with other gym equipment, a cycling area for spin classes and other workout stations as well.

Now let’s just be honest for a second and agree with me when I say Raine and Chantal can do anything wrong, they are a power couple and whatever they do they do it for others, whether they busker on the street for War Child or what they’re doing now which is encouraging us to get healthy and active.
