does anyone else remember the Unifaction forums and how they basically functioned like a cult
Did you used to use the website Unifactions?
hi internet! I’m here with a favor to ask of you! Even if you don’t know anything about this, please share this around, I need to try to reach a small group of people, and even a little helps!
I am currently going into my senior year of college and working on my Senior thesis in Apparel Design. I am focussing my collection around the theme of finding my identity through online spaces, and how relationships with people through the internet have helped shape that, and turning the idea of a non-physical friendship and interaction into tactile clothing.Â
A big part of this is from using the website Unification/Unicreatures for about 5 years (I was user HeartlessXion!), but due to some unfortunate events and unprofessional actions of the website’s owner, the site doesn’t exist anymore for me to pull screenshots/inspiration images from! So I’m asking for some help.Â
If you used Unifactions/Unicreatures between 2011 and 2016, I am looking for screenshots of the site! It can be anything, from either versions Uni4, Uni5, Uni6, or unicreatures! Send me snippets of conversation’s you’re comfortable sharing, your most stylish avatars you’ve saved, screenshots of forum posts, I’m looking for any content of the site I can! It was such a small community that Google has little to offer and I don’t have any screenshots anymore. I need as much content as I can gather before September!
I know this is a long run because there was only a couple hundred active users on the site, and it’ been dead for so long now, but I would really appreciate if people could share this around! this is going to be really important research for my thesis, and I’m really missing a big chunk of what I want to use for research with the site no longer existing.Â

Being a teenager is weird. A lot of things change. I went through a lot of changes, and my life constantly changed. But for most of the time iv was a teenager, I had one thing that was always reliable and stable, and that was a small online community forum called Unifaction. There was only a couple hundred of us on there, but they were probably the more down to earth and nicest people you would meet on the internet. Except the owner. Who, just recently, shut down the site server and denied all access to it without warning, due to refusal to put it in hands that actually cared about the site and the user base. This site was incredibly important to me and I have a lot of fond memories of it. I met incredible people. I met my best friend on there, 6 years ago. Someone who I trust completely with everything and anything, someone who helped me be creative and inspired, and someone who continues to always make me happy. I also met the first girl who made me question my sexuality, another friend who introduced me to the night angel trilogy, which I will always be fascinated with, and befriended an older woman who always was upbeat and just blogged about skyrim scenery. It was a really great online community with incredible people, and this shaped a lot of what my teenage life was like outside of school. Its all gone now. With no warning, and little to no explanation.... just gone. I feel like I've lost a huge community that I relied on, and what got me through all those awful and awkward years. Ive lost thouands of posts worth of writing, memories....a lot of things. And im extremely sad. Things like that cant be replaced. I cant every reproduce those things, except for what I had saved. We have very few answers about why the site is gone. Theres no closure, no time to save any memories, save contact info for anyone...its all just gone. And if the owner of the site were perhaps to see any of these complaints...fuck you. You owe us an apology. You owe us an explaination. And you owe us our years worth of memories and deidication to your site.

If you are reading this post you are/were probably a user of the Unicreatures/Unifaction site. You have no doubt noticed that the site is no longer up.
The sites appear to be gone for good.

[Edit No. 1] Thanks dear (whoever posted/linked my words), without you so many people wouldn't have been even able to see this. I have also realized the pastebin version lacks the lovely links regarding the bonfire background, so edited that in for your convenience. It might also help as a little..yknow, proof.
[Edit No. 2 - Directed to Unda after the tl;dr on her profile] It's really lovely just how much you're able to lie through your teeth. It's not something everyone can do so easily. Maybe you actually even think you're right, since you've gotten so involved with your favourite role of the victim bullied by everyone. I feel sorry for you, a little bit. Well, as for the gifts... I feel like you are being little more than just a hypocrite here, considering how fast you've pulled mine and ante's gifts from the shop claiming they were never meant to be available. So if you hand-pick the people to gift things like items from the oldest DPs from UF4, limited gifts that have left the shops, even items that were reserved just for WINNERS OF CERTAIN RAFFLE/S (by the way that's pretty rude to the people who actually won them), that's just fine. But if we actually let everyone have our last gift, that's not okay? While you are claiming how much you'd love to gift everyone? Uhmmmm. Do you actually expect people to buy that?
Thank you for the ip ban, by the way. I guess removing the checks&balances procedure to earning a ban is one of the needed changes for the site. Please be careful, everyone - it's kinda dangerous when one person goes banning at their leisure.
