Dinner Interrupted

Freehand is difficult but fun. 

Malal Ungor of the Moonspell Clan! New year, new job, new country, and finally new painted miniatures! This old lil' devil is made of Metal, so the Moonspell symbol fits on many levels! I have more of his kind running around and hopefully one day they wil join him in all their metal glory!

Ethereal Ungor of Tzeentch! A long OOP metal ungor, and this time the succesful ethereal paintjob test. Nihilak Oxide wash on a white basecoat, with selective white highlights. Eyes done with a drop of Vallejo Hot Orange, to give a “John Carpenter’s The Fog” style. Superfast freehand on the shield. I got light “frost” when varnishing this model, only on the base and shield (plastic parts). I managed to partially remove it with a second pass of the varnishing spray and another layer of color for the base.

6 shots of 21 Ungor Raiders, comprising 4 units, 4 champions, and 3 musicians. These were the first models to be painted (winter 2012) and defined both the basing and painting schemes for the rest of the army. Some incorporate warpaint, which was not replicated in any further models (barring characters) and likely will stay an Ungor-specific alteration of the overall theme.
