Day 9: Unexpected Delights (っ◔◡◔)っ
Hey internet void, wasn't planning on writing today, but here I am! Sometimes, the best things in life are the ones you don't plan for.
Last night started off simple - hanging out with some online friends on a public Discord server. It's always fun to connect with people who share your interests, even if it's through a screen. Things took a turn when I ended up on a call with one of those friends for a whopping six hours! Honestly, I can't believe it either. Apparently, half that time was spent peacefully asleep (don't judge, sleep is power!). Still, it was nice to just have someone to chat with, even if it was mostly silence punctuated by snores.
Woke up around 1 pm feeling a bit groggy but (somewhat) refreshed. Adulting duties called, so I tackled a load of laundry and some other chores around the house. Gotta stay on top of that domestic chaos!
By 6 pm, my stomach was starting to rumble. Tonight's dinner menu was a delicious combo of BBQ and homemade ramen, complete with the oh-so-addictive enoki mushrooms wrapped in beef strips (seriously, try it!). Right now, I'm feeling comfortably full after dinner, dishes washed, and surprisingly motivated to write this post.
Who knows what tomorrow holds, but for now, I'm savoring this unexpected moment of connection, good food, and a clean kitchen sink. Maybe that's what happiness is - a series of little wins, shared moments, and the simple satisfaction of a task completed.
(P.S. Thanks for being here, even on the days when I don't have much to say. It's nice to know someone's listening, even if it's just the internet void.)

An unexpected trip to Hampstead pond. It really was the most wonderful day.
