Once the security alarm was set and the two doors to his shop were locked and secured, Caelum combed his hair back with his fingers and started to walk over to the local bar. He never took a tattoo job that he wasn’t prepared to attach his name to, but some of the requests were starting to get a little repetitive: flowers, names in fancy calligraphy, and endless amounts of young adults a little too ambitious with their first set of ink. Whatever. It was a decent amount of money and a way to constantly improve his art and design skills. If clients wanted the cliché flower or the name of a loved one who was he to complain?
He sat down at the bar purposefully far away from the other patrons. He wanted a drink, not a draining social interaction, after working for eight hours straight. Maybe on a night off he would go clubbing again, but that was a hard maybe. Truth be told he was exhausted most if not all of the time. He couldn’t see himself going to all that effort to socialize- the lights, the sounds, the people- it would just be too much.
