under the blanket
so imagine iwa-chan chilling at home and making tea in a cup he recieved from oikawa for his 10th birthday, when suddenly someone knocks. it's around 8 pm, it's dark and it's raining, and he's like "who the hell could it be?", but he decides to answer. (some seconds later he's blessing himself that he did)
oikawa tooru in a sweatshirt, all wet standing in front of him.
a war is going on inside iwa, because he already knows, that he's been training all day and was thinking about kageyama, so probably his bad knee hurts like hell
"come in", he says
oikawa looks at him with his sad, so sad eyes, but still surprised, so iwa-chan says it again, angrier and louder
"come in, for god's sake!"
and so oikawa comes in and they end up sitting on the sofa with a blanket around them, which iwa has brought there cause oikawa had been shaking
it's about kageyama, of course it is, but oikawa's so desperate, he starts crying, so his head lands on iwa-chan's shoulder, who pretends like nothing has happened
"you should stop equaling yourself with kageyama. natural born talent is not a thing you can complement with training, so stop hurting yourself and get off of your knees, because the team needs you!"
oikawa looks at him, and iwa, all of a sudden says
"i love you"
everything stops existing around oikawa for a sec. he's just looking at iwa-chan like
"did you just...?"
"shut up"
silence, iwa's looking at the rug and oikawa's looking at his face
"i love you too, iwa-chan"
they look at each other, iwa grabs the blanket and pulls it over their head, and under it, he kisses off all of tooru's tears
