Harry is the tough football player with a secret soft side. Louis is a soccer player with a not so secret soft side. For weeks Louis decides to draw flowers on Harry's math notebook and he didn't expect Harry to add more to the drawings. Harry tries to cover it so no one notices and that's when Louis realizes Harry isn't so tough underneath those tattoos and football jersey.

The bottom three paintings are from a period in 2006 when I was doing these huge oil paintings. I think they are ok, but I think what is interesting about them now (with the power of hindsight) is that there are some perspective issues, and this happened because I was painting them in a really tiny studio space. Again, I still find something interesting about them . . . despite the perspective issues.
