“AHHHHHH” Light blinds Chara as they fall into the star. “FRISK!”

“CHARA!” Frisk responds while being sucked in with Chara. The light starts to die down and both fall onto grass.

“Hehe, haha,” Chara chuckled to themselves while tears started forming,”Well at least you’re still alive.”

Frisk gave no response, but looked toward the sunrise while standing atop the mountain. 

“Frisk?” Chara questioned as they stood up and reached out a hand for Frisk’s shoulder. “Are you ok?”

Frisk turned around, eyes open and staring at Chara blankly. “Where am I?”

Chara gives a sigh and says,”You’re on Mt. Ebott, don’t scare me like that ok? Ha, that was a pretty funny though, I thought you lost you memories or something.”

Frisk kept staring at Chara, yet their face was growing more nervous by the second as their eyes got smaller and smaller. “Umm, I have another question.”

“Shoot away.” Chara put their arm around Frisk and stared into the sunset.

Frisk nudged Chara’s arm off and backed up from Chara. They were beginning to take a defensive stance as they fearfully looked at Chara, who had a great big smile on their face. “What’s your name?”

“Frisk it’s not funny anymore. Cut. It. Out. Now.” Chara started to approach Frisk with an even bigger grin that struck fear into Frisk. 

Frisk cautiously backpedalled, tripping over a vine and falling onto their back. Chara didn’t halt their advance, so neither did Frisk. Frisk started crawling away from Chara, who’s smile was starting to fade and their eyes got wide.

“FRISK!”

Frisk, even more terrified now, jumped back and fell into a massive hole. Tumbling down Frisk managed to grab  hold of a stray branch that began to crack under the pressure.

“Frisk!” Chara extended their hand, and Frisk stared at them hesitantly. “That branch won’t hold you! Please! Grab my hand!” 

“CRACK!” The branch broke and Frisk dropped into the underground.

Martyr: yea- no. We're not having this conversation. He has to go get ready for a Halloween party with fragment

Polyseme: holy hell??? Wild. So wild. He's sure he heard you wrong. Who starts a conversation like that?

Blight: you'll be finding out soon

Terrors Within: they wonder why you would hide a body in the first place. Wouldn't you need it for something? Why else would you have it? Aren't you going to eat that?

Doctor Gaster II: why.... what. Why are you asking? Are you from the families? If you are, he promises that he'll contact you about your family members after a few more experimental tests

Null: ...

Atonia: hide a body? Oh. No. He displays his victories for all to see

Bae: what are you, a cop?

Sponge: there's no where to hide bodies in the void, so he'd probably dump it in someone else's universe

Bear: eat em. Don't waste food

Dust: he's still wondering where his own dust is

Paralysis: not his job. He gets Bear to deal with the bodies

Knat: hes got no idea. He's bad at keeping secrets

De-bug: WHY ARE YOU HIDING BODIES????

Achilles: what...? Huh??

Set: buried under endangered fauna.

Punk: holy shit- he's a hot topic regular, not a prison bird???

Turning Pink: in the closet. Hang em up like clothes

I using names and characterization to hint at my character's lores

and I LOVE mythology!

UnderDawn brothers are named after Greek mythology

and UnderDusk bros are named after Egyptian mythology!!!

it might be helpful to look up their names within mythology to learn about them

we have a fell version of Achilles' au. UnderDawn and UnderDusk

Asriel breaks the barrier with the human souls and all monsters see sunlight enter the underground. Monsters head towards the sunlight while Frisk remains looking where Asriel once stood.

Chara then speaks up,”I’ve told you already, you can’t save us. We were doomed to this the moment Asriel absorbed my soul. It’s pointless. Even if you try again what is their left to find? You’ve already made every choice you can, so just give up. Have the happy ending we couldn’t.”

Frisk looks at their save file and contemplates what Chara said. They move their hand towards the reset button, and pause right before contact is made.

“You really think it’s impossible?”

“Well yeah, there’s nothing left for you to do.”

“Then what about you?”

“What do you mean?”

“You’ve had my soul for a while now, why don’t you try resetting, resetting to when you fell down.”

“That’s stupid. It’s you’re soul Frisk, you’re save points are what it remembers, not mine. It’ll just get reset to the beginning again.”

“You could reset when you were alive, you had a save point at least, so it should work since you’re in control of it!”

“It won’t work.”

“Worst thing that’ll happen though is that we get to make friends with everyone again. It won’t hurt to try.”

“I guess I can try to reset for myself, instead of for you, but what if it works Frisk.”

“Then you’ll be able to stop yourself from dying and be able to live with Asriel again.”

“That’s not what I mean. It’s your soul Frisk, not mine. If I reset to my time, something will happen to you. You weren’t alive that long ago, you might die. And if Asriel and I don’t die, you might never exist! Are you really willing to risk your own life for a dead child and his friend?”

“When you both died, the entire underground lost hope, and it took war to inspire the monsters again. It’s not just about you, it’s about everyone.”

“Well, goodbye Frisk.” Chara hugs Frisk and starts tearing up with a smile on their face.

“Goodbye Chara. I’m glad I had you with me on this journey.”

“I don’t want to let go.” Chara’s tears start streaming down their rosy cheeks as they hold Frisk closer.

“Me either, but I’m going to anyways, it’s the last choice I want to make.” Frisk tears up and lets go of Chara, and Chara reluctantly let’s go and wipes the tears from their eyes. “Bye Chara.”

Ooof finally reached contingency 540! I can now put this event out of my mind 😌

I was having big troubles dealing with these dudes:

They do be just waltzing through with that dodge mechanic. SO ANNOYING. I tried using Croos!alter to deal with them but it was just too inconsistent. Then I remembered Ling's S2 bind and quick cycle and it was SOOOO much better!!! Also, gotta love meself a Totter finisher 😊
