Hello, Wind Breaker and UmeSaku fans. I'm still new to this series but I've really come to adore it. While I still don't exactly have an OTP for this series yet, UmeSaku is slowly getting close to becoming it for me

Anyways, this idea sprung up when I read the recent chapters of Umemiya vs Takiishi. When Sakura saw how fierce Umemiya truly is, he looked conflicted and wondered 'who is that?'

It made me want to imagine that once their war against Noroshi is won, Sakura would shyly take the initiative into wanting to know Umemiya better. Sakura already knows Umemiya's childhood, his past self-destructive mindset as well as his suicide attempt. Now that he sees that there's more to the usually calm and serene leader of Bofurin (which previous chapters have shown that Sakura has seen signs of it), I like to see them spend time together

Preferably, I wanna see Sakura probably being the first person to ask Umemiya to teach him how to garden. He'd stutter his way thru, but determined and wants to face Umemiya head on

He wants to understand. Wants to see. He won't realise how strong those feelings are until much, much later though

And Umemiya? I think he'd be so happy to see that Sakura wants to know him. To have a conversation with him. Not just with words but with quite moments toiling soil and growing vegetables. Maybe even have sparring matches between them too

And maybe in time, it gives Sakura an opportunity to discover what kind of hobbies he himself would like. Things that he wants for himself, not just because its important to the people he loves and cares about.

And Umemiya would feel warm knowing that he has that privilege to help Sakura learn more about himself too because he knows now that he's safe. That he's always allowed to but now has a home, a special person that makes him safe to explore

I guess, instead of a slow burn, I'd like to write them as one would imagine a tree. To take root, to grow and finally, to bloom. I dunno if there's a term or word for that but its what I'd like to see for them

As it says on the tin, I wanna write an AU where there's a Zombie Apocalypse breakout which will eventually be the genesis of the Omegaverse that's based on a previous post of mine here

Anyways, I feel like out of all the anime/manga I'm interested in, I think this premise would suit Wind Breaker the most.

Angst with a Happy Ending

While it'll generally follow what's usually found in the Omegaverse, there will be some changes to the beliefs, system, biology and dynamics since this Omegaverse is the result of a post-Apocalyptic world

So here's the basic rundown I've got so far:

To start off, I named this verse as the Kamikaze-verse simply because of the wind element that seems prevalent in Wind Breaker. The main story will be a Trilogy, each inspired by the 3 genders and named after the 3 main parts found in a Fūrin chime.

1. GAIKAN:

The first of the Trilogy will tell of the Zombie Apocalypse outbreak, the desperation to survive, the unexpected game changer as well as how Umemiya will eventually become The Original Alpha.

2. ZETSU:

The 2nd part will explore on how exactly the Outbreak happened whilst also give way to humanity into taking the next step after the Outbreak. This includes how the Beta will come into play (specifically, who and what exactly is The Beta).

3. TANZAKU:

Last but definitely not least, is the final of the Trilogy. This will focus on how the post-Apocalypse world will evolve into the Omegaverse as well as it coming full circle to Sakura as The Original Omega.

Anyways, that's all I've got so far. I really wanna write this one day once I've got the energy and the time because I'd really love to explore this.
