So sorry for the inactivity, but I absolutely can answer your ask! Buckle up this one is gonna be long!

Deku- 

Deku was an absolute mess working up the nerve to ask his s/o on their first date if he was the one to initiate it. He was probably also a mess if he was the one asked too. He definitely overthought just about everything too, he just really wants everything to be the best for his s/o because she is the best!

Deku tries to dress up nicely for dates- even if it is just one of the nicest T-shirts he has and a clean pair of pants on casual ones, he’s always hoping to impress them.

He prefers to take his s/o somewhere simple, maybe to go see a favorite movie, or maybe even just favorite local shops shopping, visiting and getting lunch at quiet little cafes as they chat and get to know each other even more. 

If she ever dropped some hints that she’d prefer something fancier or a specific event, in particular, you bet that the boy would do everything he could to make that happen too. As long as she is happy he is happy.

Lots of conversations about anything and everything. if its a new relationship he talks a lot from nerves, but later on he’d just talk a lot because he’s eager to know each other more. 

Expect a LOT of blushing. Also, expect a lot of badly hidden awestruck glances. He thinks his s/o is amazing and it makes him nervous and doubtful at first, but with reassurance and slow and steady pace, he’d be most comfortable with holding her hand and even a little cuddling on dates, of course, the longer they are together the more comfortable he’d be with PDA, but don’t expect anything too flashy from him in public- he is still a cinnamon roll.

Do yourself a favor and don’t go onto the Gaara tag for a while.

.See exactly! I’m actively against violence against women! I’ve had close friends and family that were victims of abuse, and i hate every day that i can’t do something about the people who did it. a woman telling me it was an ex who beat beat her and broke her bones, but now he’s states away because she left that life behind. a young mother tells me her baby daddy is exhibiting signs of stalking and throwing things at her but i don’t know his name or anything about him and she refused to tell me. I show these woman my support any chance i can, any way i can, and offer to listen if they don’t want to go to anyone else. these are women that were seen to be stupid for not doing anything but they are so fucking strong for pulling themselves out of these situations with their own fucking hands.

But most of the fucking time, violence against men is excused or, god forbid, made to seem as a joke or something amusing! my former coworker, who is a man, was snuck up on from behind and brutally hit and scratched by his ex-girlfriend but refused to do anything about it because they were both doped up at the time. it was in the street! he thought he deserved it, too. i tell him no one deserves that and it’s not okay, but he didn’t fucking believe me. can’t force someone to believe you, but can only listen.

and the thing of it all? the people who say “it’s just tv” or “it’s fiction” are the people who really just piss me off. i may not be a psychologist, but i studied media in television and film for my useless college degree and what you learn is media influences society, and society influences media. mexico was teaching people about birth control in fucking soap operas in the 70′s. sales of contraceptives went up by 27%. you don’t think violence in tv leads to an increase in violent behaviour as they grow up? surprise!

now, there’s always outliers, and the fact that a lot of the violence we see these days is sensationalized by news outlets. “why isn’t anyone talking about this?” because the news has people looking in the other direction sometimes! gotta dig for some stuff, but hey, if you don’t do that, i can’t blame you. when hearing about mass murder, i tend to dissociate because my brain knows i will break down if it lets me feel it.

why did i get so off track? i’m just really fucking passionate about this shit, and i’m tired of people (not you @umbreonxespeon , the general use of “people”) shoving words in my mouth when i know damn well what i’m saying. i might not be saying it well! but i’m saying it!
