#umbrafall

A couple weeks ago, I finished publishing Act 0 of my webcomic.

Act 0 is a 7 "page" multimedia introduction to the world of Umbrafall via the different stories and histories that its people tell. It takes about 30-45 minutes to read start to finish and is meant to be enjoyed on its own as the next part of the project gets planned.

It's late, but it's here! The final update before I enter planning mode for the next phase of the project.

Act 0 of Umbrafall was all about exploring different perspectives and the different ways stories are told. While Act 1 is going to be much tamer (I need to settle on a mere two or three styles/mediums) due to how much longer it will be, I'm still playing with the same ideas.

Act 1 of Umbrafall will be split into two sides with alternating update schedules. It'll be the same story no matter what, but which side you chose to read first (or if you read them both as they come out) will change your experience with it.

Finally, some primary sources. Shame they aren't particularly aware they're in an expository act.

After that I will continue posting bonus material here but the comic itself will be on a hiatus as I figure out what exactly the next phase will look like.

Back to where things began, but slightly different this time.

A very different sort of perspective.

I've been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons as one of the characters from my original comic while working on said comic. Here he is in a slightly more comic-accurate form (if ACNH has a way to remove a player character's limbs, I haven't found it yet) alongside the rest of the main cast as villagers.

At least one of these stories isn't telling the truth....

The plot thickens.
