An Unexpected Meeting
As per usual, Ren, finding it absolutely stifling in his dwelling with the sprites swarming about and nothing of interest happening whatsoever, found himself out on the boulevard, not quite visible to the human eye and causing mischief.Â
Several arguments, a pilfered snack, several collisions, (of the non-fatal nature, he'll assure you) and an alarming amount of tripped plebeians later, the god of youth finds himself at the park. Pushing children higher than they really want to be pushed on swings is a favorite of his, and really, the only thing giving him away is the quiet (and yet supremely obnoxious) snickering that sometimes escapes his lips. After several of the children ran screaming to their mothers, does the young Pan decide to settle down for the afternoon.Â
It's not that he hates children, per say, he thinks to himself, ambling along the top of the fence separating the play structure from the rest of the park. It's just that, they really don't know how to have fun like they used to, and human children cry an awful lot easier than they used to. This longer life span agreement the gods have been working on really doesn't look like it's paying off.
Besides. It's fun.
The fence stops there, but conveniently, there's a pleasantly thick sized branch of a tree hanging right in reach, and the blond doesn't hesitate to climb aboard, making his way over to the trunk and getting comfortable before pulling his pan flute out, beginning to play. He was never really one for idleness.
