Workshops on Wednesdays
Exciting news! On July 16th, the ACCESS Program of the office of Educational Opportunity Initiatives will once again be holding it's annual Workshops on Wednesday (WOW) event. SFTC Director Kendrick Jones and Program Facilitators Natasha LaGrone and Emma Davis have all been asked to hold a presentation.
WOW is an event wherein High School students from 9th to 12th grade come to learn different ways to be successful in a college environment. The focus of the event is education, and as an arts organization, the SFTC presenters plan to get the kids to start thinking creatively. By having the students engage in games and challenges centered around expression, resourcefulness, imagination, and creative problem-solving, the workshop group of 35-40 students will hopefully begin thinking more on what college is.
