But he knew he couldn’t, knew he couldn’t tell him directly. So he found el, mistaked him for Will and would continue doing that for the rest of his life because he KNEW he couldn’t have him. He hid his feelings horribly and saw him in her.

El was what he wanted, but Will is what he truly needed.
