The "Lord British Races" are what I used to call...er...this little engineered catastrophe. The idea is simple: you position the Avatar just far enough away from the throne (occupied by Lord British, of course) that when the LAST person in the party attacks him, the Avatar might just be able to run away while the irate king slaughters the rest of the party.
This time, the result was unexpected: Shamino survived as well!
