I really decided to start writing an UlquiIchi fanfic in 2020....

Reasons why UlquiIchi is a great ship
1. THE CONTRAST. GUYS. IT’S ALL THERE!
2. Okay but, like, Ulquiorra was supposed to be Ichigo’s biggest adversary during the Hueco Mundo arc, so they were made to contrast each other (also, foe yay).
3. Ulquiorra has straight black hair while Ichigo has spiky bright hair. Ulquiorra has cold green eyes while Ichigo has warm brown eyes. Ulquiorra has pale skin while Ichigo has relatively tan skin.
4. Ulquiorra has tear marks on his face while Ichigo stopped crying.
5. Ichigo’s a little bit hollow (among other things *cough*) and Ulquiorra’s a little bit shinigami. Ichigo wears black and Ulquiorra wears white. Need I go on?
6. Green cero vs red cero. You want complimentary colours? It’s all there.
7. Canonically, they killed each other. By fighting = flirting standards, they’re pretty much married.
8. This ship necessitates Ulquiorra’s survival. V important.
9. ‘Ulquiorra in the human world’ AU, for those that want it.
10. Wingman Orihime.
11. Wingman Orihime.
12. They both suck at emotions.
13. Okay I know Ulquiorra is way worse at emotions than Ichigo is but my point still stands.
14. Imagine Ulquiorra delivering cheesy pickup lines in the most monotone voice possible. He’s got the book in front of him and everything.
15. It still flusters Ichigo.
16. Ichigo delivering pickup lines that completely fly over Ulquiorra’s head.
17. Wingman Rukia, but that’s a given for any Ichigo ship not involving Rukia.
18. BAT + LIZARD = DRAGON
19. Which means nothing but dragons are cool.
20. The SLOWEST of burns.
21. ”””Malfunctioning””” gigai shenanigans if that’s your cup of tea.
22. That one trope where it’s obvious to everyone but themselves that they’re into each other and everyone hates it.
23. Ulquiorra showed Ichigo a secret place where even Aizen couldn’t see them.
24. He also showed Ichigo his secret form that nobody knew about.
25. Ulquiorra Learns Emotions (maybe)
