And Stiles just kinda floats for three days because he’s worked so hard to get a response like that, not just from Derek but from anyone. When does anyone ever really tell him good job? And it feels extra special coming from Derek somehow. He didn’t say anything to Stiles after the pool, or when Stiles used his spark to trap the kanima OR when Stiles made a plan to break into a freaking bank vault. It feels like they’ve reached a milestone in this…friendship? Supernatural crime fighting duo-ship? Anyhoo, Stiles is really happy about it.

And now he can’t stop thinking about Derek touching his shoulder and telling him good job. And Derek touching his shoulder. And Derek telling him good job. And Derek touching him. And telling him good job–

“Good job, Stiles.”

Stiles blinks the water out of his eyes. He’s in the shower, on his knees, and Derek’s massive form is above him, dripping water onto his face and guiding his head with a hand in his hair, making him gag and drool and fuck, that’s so hot. He looks up and sees Derek leaning forward on the shower wall, grinning down at him.

“You look so pretty on your knees, Stiles,” he purrs, using his tight grip to tilt Stiles’ head back. “Doing such a good job for me.” Stiles whimpers and Derek tilts his head to the sound and his eyes flash red and his smile turns sinful. “Ready?”

Stiles swallows and scrambles to get a grip on Derek’s strong thighs as he’s bracketed against the wall, and Derek’s hand tightens in his hair and–

He startles awake. It still dark out, and he’s sweaty and dazed and his boxers feel gross and–oh my god, this has gone absolutely too far.

He’s able to stop thinking about it without blushing after a couple of days and it’s not so awkward to be around Derek as he thought it would be. So what if he had a mind blowingly hot as hell sex dream about him? He can’t go through life being embarrassed about things like that. Like, who hasn’t Stiles had a sex dream about? Come on now. He got a compliment from Derek AND he got something for the spank bank as well. So really, things are A-okay, fantastic even. Splendid.
