Founded in 2003, Ereb Altor this Swedish Viking Metal band is a supplement to the Swedish fantasy rpg Drakar och Demoner (kinda like Swedish D&D). Said to be influenced by Swedish Black Metal and Viking Metal pioneers Bathory, Ereb Altor has seven.. yes seven full length albums out since the release of their demo Awakening in 2003. This song, Midaommarblot is off their 2015 album Nattramn. They recently released a new album Ulfven, from which you can check out the song  En synd svart som sot (a sin as black as soot) bellow:

The vox threw me for a bit at first,  because I usually listen to a lot of unclean vox. But Crister Olsson aka Mats has some pipes man. Honestly, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that I was drawn to the guitars foremost. And maaaann..but those axes are beautiful.

Honesty.. Viking Metal always fucks me up.. makes sense that I want to create my own interpretation of a female corpse paint/shield maiden band.. Check them out though, if you always wanted to like epic doom metal but though naaahhh when it cam to the vox, you just might like these guys. I sure did.
